I am a very competant DIY / Handyman and have completed such work as fitting a kitchen and bathroom in my own house. I repair and service our cars, motorbikes and caravan. Whilst in the police I qualified as a Collision Investigator which gained me further qualifications in vehicle examination, in particular, the qualification of Certified Automotive Engineer.
I use the proper tools for the job, not just a hammer and a pair of pliers!
Since retiring, I have completed a course in Domestic Electrical Installation, Verification and Testing to 17th Edition (sometimes referred to as "Part P", but this is not quite correct). I have gained qualifications from City & Guilds and EAL (http://eal.org.uk/). I am also qualified as a Portable Appliance Tester.
I am a competant plumber, having replaced water tanks, radiators, fitted external taps, vanity units, etc.
I am fully insured for public liability and health & safety are key to my working practices. I do not cut corners or "bodge" a job.
So whatever household problem you have, broken appliance, leaky tap, lights now working, broken socket or you need a sink replaced, new taps fitted, some more sockets in a room, power to your shed - give me a call!
